Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Indianapolis, IN Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $30 to $40 per hour Contract Duration: 6 Months Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Key Responsibilities Reading culture plates and performing Gram stains Specimen setup and processing Performing routine and complex laboratory testing per SOPs Operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining lab instrumentation Quality control, preventive maintenance, and accurate result reporting Maintaining safety standards and proper PPE usage Training will be provided as needed Required Qualifications Candidates must meet CLIA requirements and have one of the following: Associate Degree in Medical Technology OR Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology / Clinical Laboratory Science OR Bachelor’s Degree in a Chemical, Physical, or Biological Science with appropriate lab training or experience Experience & Skills 1–2 years of clinical laboratory experience required Microbiology experience preferred Core Lab experience required Familiarity with LIS (Cerner preferred; Epic exposure a plus) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Certifications ASCP or AMT certification: Preferred (not required)
