Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced RN or NP to serve as a
Cardiac Care Nursing Consultant for a specialized skilled nursing
unit that cares for high-acuity cardiac patients, including those
receiving titratable cardiac drips and left ventricular assist
device (LVAD) management. This is a consultant role available on a
PRN or part-time basis, ideal for an advanced cardiac clinician
with a passion for mentorship, clinical coaching, and improving

Assistance Program Responsibilities: Serve as a clinical mentor to
nursing staff on advanced cardiac care practices. Provide bedside
support and coaching for LVAD management and cardiac drip
protocols. Lead clinical skills validation, education sessions, and
competency assessments. Act as a subject matter expert during
patient care escalations and high-risk situations. Collaborate with
leadership on quality improvement initiatives and onboarding
processes. Support regulatory readiness and adherence to
evidence-based cardiac care protocols. Qualifications: Active and
unencumbered RN or NP license in Indiana. At least 5 years of
clinical experience in cardiac or critical care settings. Strong
expertise in LVAD management and titration of cardiac drips. Prior
experience in education, mentorship, or consulting is preferred.
Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and leadership
skills.
