Job Description:
Job Title: Medical Technologist Profession: Laboratory
Specialty: Med Tech (MT) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per
Shift: 12 hours, Friday-Sunday Experience: One year of medical
technology experience required License: Certification in Medical
Technology (MT/MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) required
Certifications: ASCP, BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Minimum: Associate
Degree in medical technology or related science required Must be
cross-functional in all laboratory departments except histology
required Description: Utilizing independent judgment. The Medical
Technologist performs complex chemical and biological test
procedures on blood, tissue, body fluids, or excretions. This
includes work in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, or
Microbiology. The Medical Technologist instructs incumbents in
assigned areas.
