Job Description:

United Performance Metals is looking for two new Shift Leads to join their Laser Cell team. As a Warehouse Shift Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing production, team members, safety, quality, 5s, and adapting duties while maintaining standards of safety, productivity, and quality. You will also perform minor maintenance on associated equipment.This opening is supported by the expertise of O'Neal Industries, which has been in business for 100 years. Our company takes pride in delivering excellence and expanding opportunities for our Associates.WORK HOURS:*Rotating 12-hour shifts from either 5:00am - 5:30pm (days) -OR- 5:00pm - 5:30am (nights). *Week 1: 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off. Week 2: 2 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Compliance with safety standards, including documenting and reporting safety issues.
• Efficient production
• Entering daily production data/producing the amount of scrap.
• Developing work instructions and procedures.
• Proposing process/continuous improvement ideas to increase production in the most efficient manner.
• Entering timesheets/payroll data on a daily basis
• Operating forklifts and cranes
• Conducting safety and house cleaning audits.
• Training new team members with proper documentation.
• Coordinating counseling sessions with associates as needed with Operations Lead.
• Performing all additional duties requested by Manager / Operations Lead.IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • At least six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent attendance, strong communication skills, proven leadership skills, and strong teamwork skills
  • Strong Mathematical, Language skills, and reasoning ability
  • Preferred experience using and operating the following equipment and tools: Micrometer, Tape Measure, Marking Pen, Calipers, Scale, Fork Truck, side load Fork Truck, Auto-bander, and Sheet lifterBENEFITS OF WORKING WITH US:
