Performance Foodservice is seeking a dedicated and efficient CDL Class A Shuttle Driver to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of our extensive range of food products to various customer locations. As a key link in our distribution chain, you will play an essential role in maintaining the satisfaction and loyalty of our customers by upholding our promise of prompt delivery. This full-time position offers a generous $10,000 sign-on bonus and ensures you are home every day, fostering a healthy work-life balance. Safely transport food and food-related products to customer locations using a Class A CDL vehicle. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues or concerns. Adhere to assigned routes, schedules, and safety procedures to ensure timely delivery. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance. Assist in the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring the proper handling of all goods. Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams to confirm deliveries and discuss road conditions. Proven ability to operate a Class A CDL vehicle safely and efficiently. Strong knowledge of transportation regulations (DOT). Excellent communication and time management skills. Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. Basic troubleshooting skills for vehicle maintenance.
