Job Description Job Description HOME EVERY NIGHT GREAT PAY AND BENEFITS Position Summary: TP Mechanical Contractors is seeking Class A CDL Driver for our distribution center in Columbus, Ohio. TP Mechanical delivers end-to-end solutions to our customers, from pre-construction expertise through contracting and fabrication to service and maintenance for piping, plumbing, HVAC/R and fire protection. We do this as a relationship-focused organization that leverages six decades of experience providing innovative solutions with excellence that drive down costs, enhance safety, increase value and deliver speed to occupancy. Works day-to-day on delivery of products and supplies to various work sites in and around Ohio. Creates a positive work environment and represents TP Mechanical Contractors in a professional manner. Responsibilities and Duties: Delivers products, supplies and other items to job-sites daily and in a timely manner. Unloads items delivered to job-sites or returned to the warehouse. Focuses on safety and safety practices at all times. Abides by all traffic laws and DOT regulations. Drives the company vehicles in a courteous and professional manner. Reloads the truck for the next day’s run. Helps pull items for orders when needed. Driver responsible for driving pickup truck with 40 ft gooseneck trailer and/or enclosed trailer. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 2 years prior driving experience with straight truck. Stable work history CDL License endorsement B for straight trucks. HAZMAT endorsement At least one year of experience driving in the following conditions: rain, snow, ice, fog, etc. Education: High School or GED Equivalent Physical Requirements: Able to pass the DOT physical. Able to climb in and out of truck. Lift items weighing up to 60lbs. Must be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Good knowledge of Ohio and cities. Knowledge of all DOT regulations.
