join our team to Bring the Future! Job Purpose: Provide front-line
leadership, management and development of associates in the Robot
Simulation Offline Programming (OLP) Group as part of the Equipment
Production Department which provides high quality, high value,
equipment on time to ensure stable new model start up and introduce
new technology in all North American manufacturing facilities. Key
Accountabilities: Performance and Development Track/assess the
performance versus stated goals/competencies for associates
Create/discuss career development plans and ensure succession
Provides timely guidance and feedback to help others strengthen
specific knowledge/skill needed to accomplish a task or solve
problems Leadership and Technical Guidance Point of contact for
technical questions/concerns regarding Offline Programming acting
as 1st Level of Mentorship Support the creation of individual
project-specific development plans and schedules within their
technical subject matter, to ensure associates have a comprehensive
understanding of all required activities across related cost,
delivery, and quality objectives. Perform group specific tasks to
fill in when/if required as needed to fill gaps within group Hiring
and Onboarding Identify, review, evaluate, and provide hiring
recommendations for candidates by working with human resources,
recruiting agencies, and department/group leaders, and attending
career fairs, or other similar measures Create an onboarding
training plan for each associate within the group. Regularly review
the learning status with associates and leadership and refine the
focus areas accordingly. Resource and Budget Management Ensure
resources are available by creating proposals for justification of
required assets/headcount Work to identify future group needs
required to achieve future group objectives Create, justify, and
maintain a group-level budget plan (both capital and expense)
Workload & Scheduling Management Forecast and manage group overall
workload and schedule Create and maintain an overall workload
forecast for the group Create proposals to management based on
future headcount requirements Hold regular team meetings to review
individual workload, provide opportunities for associates to plan
ahead with work-life balance in mind and re-allocate work as
necessary Improvement & Innovation Support cross-functional
activity across the Unit/Department/Division directed at improving
capability or efficiency. Lead/support proposals to management
related to continuous improvement of group capability or
efficiency. Qualifications, Experience, and Skills: Bachelor of
Science degree in related engineering field or equivalent technical
work experience. 8 years of experience of developing industrial
automation systems Experience leading teams or groups Experience
performing robot offline programming is required Experience with
Siemens Process Simulate software is desired Experience teaching
robots online is a plus Must have strong communication and
organizational skills with the ability to multitask and set short-,
medium, and long-term priorities Ability to cultivate and manage
relationships of varying levels in/out of the organization,
including with suppliers Strong customer service focus and mindset
Strong project organization and management capability Strong
decision-making skills, able to make sound decisions on complex
matter Working Conditions: 80% Office environment – support of
project manager direct reports 20% shop/factory floor – At the spot
support of project leader direct reports as we work across NA
plants Must be willing to travel locally, regional, and
internationally as required on a project basis (to Honda facilities
