Responsible for planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the housekeeping department to assure the highest level of cleanliness and guest service.     • Maintain a professional and high quality service oriented environment at all times
    • Establishes cleaning and inspection checklists as appropriate and ensure compliance with established procedures
    • Trains all new team members on established policies and procedures
    • Establish an ongoing common area cleaning schedule
    • Purchases all hotel room and cleaning supplies as set forth by established par levels
    • Effectively communicates all pertinent activities to housekeeping team regarding daily activities, VIP guests, events, and special circumstances
    • Responsible for scheduling and payroll for housekeeping and laundry
    • Ensures proper maintenance of all laundry equipment
    • Manages operating expenses and purchasing for department
    • Works with Front Office Manager to ensure cleanliness standards are exceeded
    • Develop and maintain a well-informed, working knowledge of competing hotel properties as well as attractions available in the county.
    • Represents hotel and complex at industry and networking events when appropriate
    • Assist with annual budget preparation as well as monthly forecasting
    • Establish an ongoing personal development plan
    • Conducts regular team meetings to review hotel performance, service scores, successes, and service improvement areas
    • Creates improvement plans as necessary to address individual and team areas of opportunity
    • Act as manager on duty for the hotel, dealing with service issues, problem solving, and other issues that may arises
    • Stays informed of industry trends and happenings through research, networking, and attending industry events
    • Train, enforce, and update all fire-life-safety procedures
    • All other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications
      • Must be 21 years of age or older
      • Must have dependable transportation to and from work
      • Must have Valid Driver's License
      • Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
      • Must have at least five or more years related hotel housekeeping experiencePreferred Qualifications
        • A positive and friendly attitude towards guest, customers, and fellow employees
        • Must have high level of interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public to serve as liaison to high profile members of the community and the tourism industry
        • Ability to safeguard confidential information
        • Must be extremely detailed with outstanding communication skills
        • Ability to work with minimal supervision
        • Capability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks at once
        • Outstanding demonstration in meeting strict deadlines
        • Ability to handle tense or stressful situations
        • Superior judgment and discretion
        • Strong attention to detail, excellent proofreading skill, and a willingness to learn new processes/skillsWorking Conditions
          • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
          • Physical requirements necessary include talking, listening, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting, sitting for long periods of time while typing on a computer
          • Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds
          • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
