Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive primary care services at a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) facility. This opportunity offers the chance to care for our nation's veterans in a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities
The Nurse Practitioner will provide primary care services within the scope of practice and clinical privileges granted by the facility, including:
Perform patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions
Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, EKGs, and other diagnostic studies
Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state regulations and facility privileges
Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
Coordinate specialty referrals and consultations
Participate in health promotion and disease prevention initiatives
Discuss advance care planning and end-of-life preferences when appropriate
Ensure appropriate follow-up and continuity of care
Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
Perform other duties consistent with primary care practice

Qualifications
Master s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
Current, unrestricted NP license in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia
Current DEA registration (if applicable)
Current BLS certification
ACLS certification preferred
Experience providing primary care services

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Experience working with veteran populations or in federal healthcare settings is a plus
