working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Lexington,
Kentucky, 40536! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night
Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years in specialty required
License: Compact or state license required Certifications: BLS,
ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Experience with telemetry -
Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Knowledge of
pre/post neurosurgery care - Experience with seizure disorders -
Training in epilepsy monitoring Description: Combined PCU and MS
unit. Will be expected to float between the two units. Emphasis is
on neuro patients, but overflow patients will also be cared for.
Patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:3-5, depending upon acuity. Experience
with electronic medical record systems required. Candidates should
be trained in monitoring and interviewing for epilepsy patients.
Daily census will typically be around 19 patients. Unit supports
interdisciplinary care, including physical therapy, respiratory
services, and social services. Ability to care for a variety of
patient diagnoses is necessary. Compliance requirements include
BLS, ACLS, EKG onboarding exam, NIHSS, math exam, and pharmacology
exam. The staff may float between various hospital units or
affiliate hospitals. Previously worked candidates should be noted
