Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Medical Lab Technician - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Pride Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) for a 13-week travel assignment supporting a clinical laboratory team in Columbus, OH 43205. Job Summary The laboratory operates 24/7 and provides comprehensive diagnostic services including chemistry, hematology, coagulation, immunochemistry, urinalysis, transfusion services, and manual testing. This role requires a laboratory professional experienced in high-complexity testing who can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Laboratory Testing & Diagnostics - Perform clinical laboratory testing across multiple departments including Chemistry, Immunochemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, and Urinalysis. - Conduct manual testing procedures, including body fluid and CSF cell counts and differentials. - Perform rapid diagnostic testing, including rapid COVID and influenza testing. - Assist with Transfusion Services and central specimen processing activities. Specimen Handling & Processing - Receive, verify, and process laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently. - Ensure specimens meet proper identification and quality standards prior to testing. - Maintain turnaround time standards for time-sensitive laboratory testing. Laboratory Systems & Documentation - Document laboratory results and maintain records using EPIC EMR. - Ensure accurate data entry and adherence to laboratory documentation standards. Quality & Compliance - Maintain compliance with laboratory protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements. - Follow quality assurance procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results. - Maintain a clean and organized laboratory workspace. Required Qualifications Education: - Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field. Experience: - Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience required. - Experience working with EPIC EMR (recent proficiency required). Certifications: - ASCP MLT or MLS certification OR AMT certification accepted.
