Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered
Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift:
Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of recent PCU
experience with a similar patient population. Previous charge RN
experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience preferred.
License: Valid compact or state license required. Certifications:
BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must complete fingerprints as soon
as they sign the contract. Weekend coverage required. Floating
within the organization is required. Description: Unit type: PCU
with 22 beds (16 rooms). Average daily census: 20. Patient
population: Adults and geriatrics. Common diagnoses include burns,
plastic/reconstructive surgery, urology, GYN, ENT, and
oral/maxillofacial surgeries. Special procedures performed include
burn dressings, flap checks, and leech therapy. Support services
available include IV/pharmacy, respiratory, PT, social work,
transport, and rapid response. Charting system used is EPIC.
Medication management is done through Pyxis. The patient ratios
during days and nights are typically 4-5 patients per nurse. The
care team includes interdisciplinary support such as IV teams,
physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Travelers who
are unresponsive or uncooperative with credentialing are at risk of
cancellation. Candidates must have two professional references, one
from a manager/director or someone in a formal leadership capacity.
No coworker references are accepted. Candidates must be aware of
the urgency of the fingerprinting process. Requirements Required
