Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Ventilator

assessment before starting the assignment - Ability to read and
interpret EKG strips Description: This role requires experience in
a step down or progressive care unit with a patient ratio
experience of 1:5. The unit is trialing a team nursing model in
which two nurses and a PCT collaborate to care for a group of
patients. The goal is to improve workload and patient care
dynamics. Nurses may function in either team nursing or primary
nursing depending on the status of the trial. Targeted patient
ratios are 1:4, but can extend to 1:5-6. Experience with managing
patients on ventilators is essential. Candidates must be able to
work with high-acuity patients, including those with conditions
such as COPD, CHF, pneumonia, and sepsis. Interdisciplinary support
teams are available, including respiratory therapy and social
services. Nurses will float as needed, and weekend or holiday
shifts are a requirement. This position is part of a complex
patient care team focusing on pulmonary diseases. Personal
protective equipment will be provided as needed, and all candidates
will undergo necessary competency assessments. References are not
