Opportunity – Medical ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio Start Date: March
9, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to
qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts or
nights; 2:1 patient ratio; shift assignments reviewed every 4-week
scheduling period based on departmental needs Highlights:
High-acuity 24-bed MICU caring for hemodynamically compromised
adult and geriatric patients Complex case mix including ARDS,
sepsis, oncologic emergencies, COPD, GI bleeds, and multisystem
organ failure Advanced treatment modalities: mechanical
ventilation, CRRT (NxStage machines), pulmonary artery catheters,
arterial lines, chest tubes, chemotherapy administration, and
clinical trial participation Epic EMR required; 72 hours of
orientation provided Strong interdisciplinary support including IV
teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and
physical therapy Two pre-approved time-off periods available
Requirements: Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license
required at submission) Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience;
at least 1 year of current MICU specialty experience required
Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers
not accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
Epic charting system experience required Demonstrated proficiency
with ventilator management, IV starts, vasoactive drip titration,
CRRT, arterial line management, and blood product administration
Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Two
professional references required (at least one from a manager,
director, or formal supervisor) Ability to complete Ohio
