Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a
qualified Oncology RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210! Job Title:
Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical
Oncology Duration: 13-16 week contract Shift: Day and Night Hours
per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Must have a minimum of 1 year
experience in Medical Surgical and Oncology. Hematology-Oncology
experience is strongly preferred. License: Valid compact or state
license required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Oncology
Nursing Society (ONS) certifications preferred. Must-Have:
Experience in Telemetry monitoring. Ability to interpret
dysrhythmias. Experience with Rapid Response Teams. Feeding tube
care and management. Blood product administration. Central line
blood draw and management. PICC line management. Nasal cannula
administration. Description: The registered nurse will work in a
Medical Surgical Oncology unit with a focus on Bone Marrow
Transplant. Patients will include those diagnosed with Acute
Lymphoblastic Leukemia, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, Amyloidosis,
Aplastic Anemia, Chronic Leukemia, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia,
Chronic Myeloid Leukemia, Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Multiple Myeloma,
Myelodysplastic Syndrome, and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. The unit
administers various types of transplants including Autologous,
Syngeneic, and Allogeneic transplants. There will be a strong
emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient safety.
Candidates should be prepared for high-acuity patient care in a
mixed acuity environment. Interdisciplinary support services are
available, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and
Pharmacy. Telemetry experience is essential for monitoring patient
vitals and interpreting results. Careful attention to isolation
precautions and care for patients with blood dyscrasias will be
