Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/10/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Night Shift Stroke Progressive Care Unit position requiring a KY or compact license and advanced neuro, telemetry, and acute care skills. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a focus on stroke and neuro patients - Hospital setting with potential floating to other PCUs or affiliate hospitals as needed - Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 - Requires 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week period - Holiday coverage is required - EMR system experience required (system not specified) - Provide advanced nursing care to neuro and stroke patients requiring progressive level intervention - May float to units within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby - Local candidates residing within 100 miles are not accepted for this position - Returning permanent staff must be gone at least 6 months before returning as a traveler - All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of application - First-time travelers are eligible for consideration /n /n Requirements/n - Active KY or compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care (PCU) experience - Experience in M/S acute care, telemetry, and EKG required - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required - Neuro/stroke experience preferred; ICU experience is a plus - No previous licensure hits will be accepted - Candidates must provide two supervisory references from the past three years /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-666847.
