Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Dayton, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,889 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years in step down or progressive care unit License: Any state RN license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Ventilator experience - Experience with EHR/EMR systems - Ability to read and interpret ECG strips - Experience with targeted patient ratios of 1:4, up to 1:5-6 Description: This unit is trialing a team nursing approach where two nurses and a patient care technician partner to care for a group of patients. The aim is to enhance workload management and improve patient care through collaborative efforts. Nurses may alternate between team nursing and primary nursing based on the trial’s status. Patient population primarily consists of individuals with pulmonary conditions such as COPD, CHF, pneumonia, and sepsis. Support from respiratory therapists is available for patients requiring trach, vents, bipaps, and high-oxygen levels. The unit administers various drips, including insulin and heparin. Nurses will adhere to isolation precautions and employ proper PPE as necessary. Candidates must pass an online competency assessment in ECG prior to starting. Weekend and holiday work is required every other week. The role may involve floating to other units as needed. No past license actions are accepted for application consideration.
