hours Contract Duration: 16 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the
Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty:
Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day and Night
Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of
medical-surgical and oncology experience. Heme Onc experience is
strongly preferred. License: Must have valid nursing license.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Must-Have: Chemo
certification is not required. Description: The position is focused
on patients undergoing bone marrow transplant procedures. The unit
handles mixed acuity and medical-surgical oncology cases. The
target patient diagnoses include various types of leukemia,
lymphoma, and myeloma. Patients may receive autologous, syngeneic,
or allogeneic transplants. There is a heavy emphasis on infection
prevention and safety protocols. Candidates should have experience
in telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation. Skills
required include blood product administration, central line
management, and feeding tube care. An ability to recognize and
communicate abnormal lab values is essential. Interdisciplinary
support is available within the unit. This is a dynamic environment
that requires adaptability and teamwork. Strong communication
skills are vital for effective patient interactions. Compliance
with rigorous credentialing processes is necessary for this role.
