About The Position Registered Nurse/Oncology Chemo Certified: Duration:13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Description: Registered Nurse (Oncology, Chemo Certified) provides specialized care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, including administering chemotherapy and managing side effects. They monitor patient responses, educate patients and families about treatment plans, and ensure safe handling of chemotherapy drugs. The role requires close collaboration with oncologists and the healthcare team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care. Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and emotional support are key aspects of this position. BMT(14 & 15W James) - Oncology - D/N ROTATING - CHEMO CERTIFICATION REQUIRED / Mixed acuity PCU and MS unit If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on staffing priorities at that time. Schedule: No set schedule, no set weekends, no block schedule. The facility determines the complete schedule, which may include working every weekend. Must be flexible. Maximum 1-2 days RTO (Requested Time Off). Experience: Must have MS and oncology experience in checklist (1 year minimum) Patient Diagnoses: • Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) • Acute Myeloid Leukemia (Adult) • Amyloidosis • Aplastic Anemia • Chronic Leukemia • Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) • Chronic Myeloid (Myelogenous) Leukemia • Hodgkin's Lymphoma • Multiple Myeloma • Myelodysplastic Syndrome • Myeloproliferative Disorders • Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Special Procedures/Unit Details: • Autologous Transplants: Patients receive their own stem cells. • Syngeneic Transplants: Patients receive stem cells from their identical twin. • Allogeneic Transplants: Patients receive stem cells from their sibling, parent, or an unrelated donor. • CAR-T Therapy Certifications Required: • Basic Life Support (BLS) • Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy Certification Oncology Certified Preferred Certifications: • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Skills Required: • MS/Tele (Medical-Surgical/Telemetry) • Telemetry monitoring • Interpretation of dysrhythmias • Use of Rapid Response Teams • Feeding tube care and management • Blood product administration • Central line blood draw • Peripheral line care/management • PICC line management • Nasal cannula administration About Accede: Accede Solutions is a Nationally Certified Search firm providing services in multiple sectors.
