working with Cynet Health to find a qualified EP Lab RN in
Lexington, Kentucky, 40536! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Electrophysiology Lab Duration: 14 weeks Shift:
Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: 2
years in specialty required. Required: Critical Care/ICU
experience, EP Lab experience. License: Compact or state license
required at time of submission. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS,
EKG, NIH Stroke Scale required. Must-Have: Level 1 trauma
experience preferred. Local travelers within a 75-mile radius are
not accepted. Description: This position entails working four
10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. The shift timing is from 7:00
AM to 5:30 PM. Some late shifts may be required. The ideal
candidate should have experience in a trauma level I facility.
Skills required include activated clotting time, antiarrhythmics,
antihypertensives, arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements,
cardiac ablation, cardioversion, circulation procedures, conduction
studies, electrophysiology lab procedures, and more. The nurse will
provide care for a diverse patient population including neonates,
adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily
census is approximately 25, with a total of 25 visits per day.
There are five rooms in the unit. Candidates will float within the
hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed. Candidates
must have experience with ECMO, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitral Clip
preferred. Response times for call must be within one hour. Call
hours include weekdays from 8 PM to 6 AM. Weekend on-call will be
divided into two shifts: 6 AM to 6 PM or 6 PM to 6 AM. Weekend
coverage starts Saturday at 6 AM and ends Monday morning at 6 AM.
Staff members may need to cover PACU patients transferred to the
main PACU for recovery. Anticipation of call frequency is 2-3
shifts per schedule period. Modules are completed during
orientation and annually and vary by specialty. Compliance
requirements include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, EKG onboarding exams,
advanced math, med/pharmacology exams, conscious sedation exams,
