Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Columbus, OH Agency: Revolution Healthcare Services Pay: $2,179 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210! Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Medical-Surgical RN – Ohio Start Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts (19:00 - 07:30), rotating weeknights and weekends, rotating holidays Highlights: Progressive Care Unit (PCU) preferred; Medical-Surgical RN also considered Patient ratios of 1:3-4 across all shifts Epic charting system utilized 29-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams Primary focus on neurological diagnoses including stroke, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, and post-neurosurgery patients 24 hours of orientation provided Requirements: Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of PCU or Medical-Surgical experience required Epic charting system experience required ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required Experience with patient ratios of 1:4 EVD (External Ventricular Drain) monitoring experience required Competency in managing lumbar drains required Previous travel experience preferred Previous charge experience preferred Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Willingness to float to different units within the organization as needed Clinical Skills: Telemetry monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips Blood product administration and heparin protocols Central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care/management High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), CPAP/BIPAP, and tracheostomy care Arterial line management and PCA pump management Cardiac drip management and titration Feeding tube care and port access/management Phlebotomy and IV insertion/maintenance Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work with a diverse neurological patient population in a well-supported progressive care environment. Reference Requirements: Two professional references required: at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role; a charge RN is acceptable for the second reference. Coworker references are not accepted.
