Job Description Talent4Health is seeking a travel Ob/Gyn Sonographer for a travel job in Cincinnati, Ohio. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Ob/Gyn Sonographer - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 07/07/2025 - Duration: 8 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Shift: 7:40 AM – 4:00 PM Requirements: - Minimum of 1 year of experience in high-risk or office-based OB/GYN ultrasound diagnostics and procedures. - Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Ultrasound/Allied Health, or completion of an Accredited Ultrasound Training Program. - RDMS Registry in a related ultrasound specialty (OB/GYN). Position Overview: The Registered OB/GYN Sonographer will perform level 2 clinical imaging duties at our Mt. Auburn Maternal Fetal Medicine office. This role involves working under the supervision of medical professionals and supporting diagnostic imaging for high-risk pregnancies. Required Skills & Experience: - A minimum of 1 year of experience in high-risk or office-based OB/GYN ultrasound diagnostics and procedures. - Competence in performing routine procedures and real-time techniques specific to OB/GYN, including M-mode, pulse and color Doppler. - Strong understanding of fetal and cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology. - Ability to perform vital sign measurements, including pulse rate, blood pressure, respiration rate, and oxygen saturation. - Effective communication skills to provide technical information to interpreting physicians. - Familiarity with PACS and structured reporting systems. - Strong customer service skills, including positive interaction with staff, patients, and physicians in both in-person and phone communication. Job Description: The Registered Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN) Sonographer is responsible for performing clinical imaging duties within the TCHMS offices, under the general direction of a physician or supervision by the clinical manager. The role requires expertise in various OB procedures, performing ultrasound examinations in line with All-JM and ACOG guidelines, and specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine. This position demands attention to patient care, accurate record keeping, proper equipment handling, and the completion of other assigned duties. Job Responsibilities: - Clinical Imaging & Procedures: Perform imaging and procedural duties as an Obstetric/Gynecological Sonographer. - Adherence to Protocols: Follow testing protocols established by the Medical Director and related professional standards. - Quality Imaging: Produce high-quality study images and data, ensuring competence in the use of imaging and accessory equipment. - Patient Preparation & Assistance: Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and provide ultrasound-guided assistance to physicians during procedures. - Patient Assessment: Assess the patient's physical, psychosocial, and educational needs, and obtain appropriate medical history prior to tests. - Documentation: Ensure the appropriateness of supporting information and documentation for the exam being performed. - Maximizing Workflow: Optimize services, adhere to workflow timelines, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth operations. - Patient Interaction: Explain testing procedures to patients, family members, and other care team members as necessary. - Compliance: Remain compliant with all relevant policies, including "Fit for Duty" and HIPAA regulations. - Time & Attendance: Adhere to designated work hours, clock in and out as required, and maintain punctuality during breaks. - Parking & Safety: Park in designated employee spaces and maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment. - Tobacco-Free Campus: Adhere to the tobacco-free policy within the campus premises. - Resource Efficiency: Work closely with leadership to optimize department resources and staffing to meet patient volume. - Scheduling & Add-ons: Schedule same-day add-on and emergency exams, maintaining high customer service standards. - Information Systems: Maintain proficiency in Information Systems, including structured reporting and image archival systems. - Order Entry & Exam Tracking: Ensure timely and accurate order entry and tracking within the Hospital Information System (HIS). - Infection Control: Follow all Infection Control policies and procedures. - Equipment Maintenance: Report equipment maintenance needs to supervisors and ensure safe operation of all equipment. - Peer Review Participation: Actively engage in Peer Review processes. - Process Improvement: Participate in departmental process improvement activities and share responsibility for departmental agenda in meetings. - Compliance with Regulatory Expectations: Maintain compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. Preferred Skills & Experience: - N/A Required Education: - Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Ultrasound/Allied Health, OR - Graduate of an Accredited Ultrasound Training Program (30 CEUs through ARDMS every 3 years). Preferred Education: - N/A Required Certifications & Licensure: - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology. - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (American Heart Association).
