We are also a place of employment where employees can apply for a student loan forgiveness program. Position Requirements : Must be 21 years of age or older. Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field is preferred. One to two years related experience and/or training in working with children and families of diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and have a wide range of clinical knowledge and experience in working with emotionally disturbed children and issues of physical/sexual abuse, neglect, and substance abuse. Strong preference for at least one year of experience of hands on use of the Family Teaching Model. The Case Manager must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as case notes, treatment plans, and procedure manuals, as well as write routine reports, CSP billing notes, case notes, and correspondence. He/she must also be able to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of an organization. He/she must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists, as well as the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form. Valid driver's license, good driving license and documentation verifying current automobile insurance Job Goals: To ensure that the child receives optimal treatment, the Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment Specialist (CPST worker) must engage in the duties outlined below. Counsel and aid individuals and families requiring assistance. Contact person for foster parents, youth, birth parents, ancillary service providers, educators, therapists, and custodial agencies in obtaining information and assistance concerning clients Provide technical assistance (i.e. securing medical card, assisting with school transfers and enrollments), emotional support and assistance in conjunction with other agencies. Use those skills learned in First Aid, CPR, and Sanctuary training when interacting with the youth and family. Provide assistance for acting out, aggressive youth during crisis interventions. Provide Community Support Program (CSP) billable services by the submission of timely reports describing therapeutic interactions with and on behalf of the child. The expectation of 22 hours of billable time for 40 hours of work per week is the minimum mandated utilization rate. Work with families or caregivers of children through interactions and teaching in the home. Includes visits to the home, with or without the child present Teach and reinforce skills learned in therapy to support implementation at home. Use role modeling and reinforcement to assist caregivers with learning to manage child behaviors. Help caregivers develop logical positive and negative reinforcements for behaviors. Work with the Treatment Team in developing service plans for each client, as well as planning termination / transfers, after monitoring the child on an ongoing basis through: Alternate site visits School visits Other face-to-face meetings Regular phone contact Court Appointments Participate in team staff meetings, individual supervision, staff meetings, ongoing training, various unit committees, and agency meetings. Maintain accurate, complete, and current files as specified by Quality Assurance in a timely fashion. Transport clients in personal or agency vehicle as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
