Job Description:
As part of the Patton Logistics family of companies, The
Business Development Manager is a key driver for the overall
success of our entity, Route Consultant Purchasing Alliance (RCPA)!
This role is responsible for building and maintaining relationships
with clients to provide an elite level of support and service while
promoting all of the opportunities our organization can offer them.
Our ideal Business Development Manager candidate has initiative, is
results driven, and focused on expanding our network of business.
Key Responsibilities for Business Development Manager Strong phone
presence generating new business leads Conduct sales calls to
client base with efficient information gathering along with follow
up to build rapport and secure business contracts Track and analyze
sales performance metrics to optimize strategy and achieve targets
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors and
potential opportunities for expansion Make recommendations for new
lead sources as knowledge and familiarity with the industry develop
Collaborate with the internal team to develop proposals and
presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the benefits and
value of our services Develop and maintain relationships with
clients by understanding their needs and ensuring the highest level
of customer satisfaction Attend industry events, conferences and
network functions to build relationships and establish new business
opportunities Some travel within the U.S. may be required
Knowledge/Skills Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years relevant sales
or business development experience Proven track record of
successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities
Understanding of transportation and logistics industry is a plus
Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce) is a plus Core
Competencies Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Self-motivated with problem solving skills Adaptable and able to
excel in fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and

Additional Information Full-time remote position Base salary +
commission The ideal candidate understands the nature of our
business is not 9-5 and is willing to work extended/flexible hours
as needed Some travel may be required for this role PTO is flexible
once training is complete and performance expectations are being
