POSITION TITLE: Vice President, Wireline
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Vice President of Wireline to bid, plan, direct, coordinate and budget activities concerned with the construction of telecommunication projects. This position will participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and overs its organization, scheduling, and implementation. The position formulates company policies and ensures adherence. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in underground and aerial construction, possess best in class leadership skills, as well as a strong work ethic and an ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build customer relationships and source opportunities to bid on
  • Estimate and bid projects with the help of support teams and senior management
  • Work with Management and Foreman to plan, organize and direct activities concerned with construction projects.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specifications. Confer with Management and
  • Foreman to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities
  • Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site foreman to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures
  • Participants in and is accountable to leadership Scorecard with metrics to meet strategic goals of the division this role oversees; has complete buy in to I404 (action planning system
  • Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings
  • Work with contract administrator to manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the customer
  • May request supplies and materials to complete project
  • Interpret and explain plans and contracts terms to administrative staff, workers and customers
  • Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling
  • Work with Management to assign works to construction sites to work on specific projects

      • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, projectors, copy/fax, and smartphones
      • Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, especially hot, humid and/or rainy spring, summer and fall weather, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
      • Must assume responsibility for work outcomes and results of other workers.
      • May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated.
      • Must wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats and life jackets when working on-site. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
        • 10+ years' experience within the telecom/utility construction industry with full understanding of fiber
        • installation operations required
        • 5+ years of proven success in leading high-performance teams
        • Solid understanding of business planning processes and key business metrics to be achieved
        • Bachelor's degree in Business Management preferred but not required
        • High School diploma or equivalent required
