serving others through international outreach. ResponsibilitiesThe
Trauma Program Manager (TPM) is a registered nurse who is
fundamental to the development, implementation and evaluation of
the trauma program. Coordinates the care of the trauma patient
using an interdisciplinary approach in accordance with the
requirements of the American College of Surgeons Committee on
Trauma. In addition to administrative duties, serves as liaison
between all members of the Trauma Team from pre-hospital care
through emergency services, acute care services and throughout the
continuum of care. Represents trauma center (KHN) at regional and
state Trauma Meetings. Assumes day to day responsibility for
process and performance improvement activities as they relate to
nursing and ancillary personnel and assists the trauma director in
carrying out the same functions for the physicians.
Responsibilities include: clinical activities, education
responsibilities, performance improvement, administration,
supervision of trauma registry, consultation and liaison, research
as requested, community/injury prevention and national involvement
in trauma care systems.QualificationsMinimum EducationMaster's
degree in Nursing required.Formal education at graduate level
related to performance improvement required.Required Licenses[Ohio,
United States] Registered NurseLicensed to practice nursing as RN
in state of Ohio.Minimum Work ExperienceMore than five years of
experience in the care of critically ill or injured patients
required.Required SkillsCertification in TNCC, ACLS, PALS, and BLS
required. Certification as TC-RN, CEN, or CCRN preferred.
Completion of ATLS course/audit within 1 yr. of hire
required.Experience with performance improvement related to patient
