Job Description:

Hours: Monday through Friday 7AM to 3PM in Jeffersonville, Ohio. Pay Rate: $22 depending on experience level. Position Summary The Maintenance Technician I is a position in training. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and assistance from other more skilled maintenance personnel, the Maintenance Tech I will be responsible for learning scheduled maintenance tasks, learning and assisting in repairing all equipment, and documenting maintenance tasks and repairs on production lines and equipment within their shift. The Maintenance Technician I must be able to quickly grasp skills and knowledge related to working on electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems within a large, 24/7 manufacturing environment. Ensure production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times Show consistent desire, learning, and improvement in all maintenance responsibilities, duties, and tasks Responsible for maintaining guarding and safety equipment on all production lines Responsible for Lock out/Tag out procedures on all lines that are worked upon, which includes isolating all forms of energy to the line and placing lock with photo ID Depending on the plant, may support and assist preventative maintenance process on the shift Contribute and assist in line commissioning after maintenance/process events Assist and participate with other plant projects as needed Complete End of Shift paperwork and provide to Lead Operate in a manner that provides value to the team Perform additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management Qualifications, Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED, required 0–1 year of experience in a similar position, preferred Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook Enrollment in advanced education and/or related certification a plus Stick and wire welding experience required with structural welding certification, preferred Forklift experience required with the ability to complete TT Forklift Certification program Work schedule flexibility to accommodate needs of the business Technical Skills & Knowledge Ability to show constant learning and improvement in working with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems Strong background in manufacturing systems in dynamic fast-paced manufacturing environment Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system a plus Knowledge of PLC Logic technology, a plus Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings Strong decision making and analytical skills with proven ability to work cross-functionally Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Strong mathematical skills Success in planning, executing and managing projects Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences Additional Requirements Must be self-directed and motivated and able to multi-task in fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment Competency Statement(s) Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly Attention to Detail - Being meticulous about detail and thorough in completing work tasks Communication - The ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing Decision Making - Ability to make critical decisions while following company procedures Initiative - Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal Judgment - The ability to formulate a sound decision using the available information Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task Problem Solving - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems Reliability - The trait of being dependable and trustworthy Respect - Respect each other, our customers and suppliers Teamwork - Communicating and working together to serve our customers Technical Aptitude - Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information Equal Opportunity Employer The AZEK Company has been acquired by James Hardie.
