Job Description:

PRIMARY FUNCTION : The maintenance technician is essential to sustaining smooth, efficient production operations by ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime. SPECIFIC DUTIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES: Perform preventative maintenance on all manufacturing equipment including but not limited to plastic injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment (i. e. chillers, dryers, grinders) and facility infrastructure. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues on production equipment promptly to minimize downtime. Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and address potential problems before they escalate. Assist with the installation of new equipment and the relocation of existing machinery. Adhere to all safety protocol and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce operational costs. Collaborate with production personnel to identify and address equipment issues and implement solutions. Supports manufacturing teams with advanced technical knowledge and solutions. BASIC QUALIFICIATIONS : High school diploma or GED is required; Associate degree or applicable certification preferred Vocational school or junior technical college training in applicable technical areas Minimum of 5 years related work experience ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Ability to climb in overhead structures, to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems Strong understanding of hydraulic pneumatic, electrical and mechanical systems common with industrial machines Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions Appcast We Offer: Competitive base salary and comprehensive benefits plans which include medical and dental insurance, company-sponsored life insurance, retirement security savings plan, short- and long-term disability programs and tuition assistance.
