Job Description Job Description Job Description The Operator in the dry room will oversee the critical steps in the electrode manufacturing process to produce high-quality anode and cathode electrodes. As the heart and soul of the battery, the electrode requires a detail-oriented and dexterous individual. The operator will primarily focus on the drying process post-coating, utilizing a heavily automated system. Responsibilities Operate and manage the drying process of electrodes post-coating. Understand process capabilities through design of experiments and data analysis. Develop and optimize process conditions for new materials, recipes, and designs. Lead new process development from validation at pilot scales to scale-up in mass production. Drive a multi-functional team to solve complex technical problems using first principles and data-driven methodologies. Essential Skills Experience in machine operation within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in troubleshooting automated machines. Responsibility for in-process and finished product quality in manufacturing. Ability to stand on feet all day. Use of steel-toed shoes. Capability to lift 50lbs and perform general manufacturing movements such as bending and squatting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating mechanical slitter, calender, coater, or punching equipment. Available Shift & Pay 1st shift: 8:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday $21-$22 based on experience Why Work Here? While the coating area may become slightly dirty due to materials, it remains clean overall. The facility is temperature-controlled, maintaining comfort even in warmer areas. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
