Description: Job Title: Specialist, Manufacturing Engineer (E lectro-mechanical) Job Code IMS - 97492: MFP3 Job Location: Mason, Ohio (onsite due to projects and duties) Schedule: 9/80 L3Harris Space & Sensors Division, headquartered in Mason, Ohio, designs, develops, and manufactures complex systems (electronic, avionics, transceivers, transmitters, electro-optical, and electro-mechanical) for the defense, aerospace, and commercial markets. Job Description: We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to work within our Space and Sensors division. The role will involve being responsible for supporting all build processes in our cryo-cooler assembly area. Ideal candidates will be able to work in a highly regulated build space with complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies. Essential Functions:

  • Provide expert technical support and leadership to operators and technicians
  • Foster a culture of yield improvement and problem solving throughout the entire fabrication, testing, assembly, packaging, and delivery process
  • Make sure decisions are data driven, maintain a high level of manufacturing acumen and a strong understanding of statistical analysis (DOE, SPC, 6-sigma)
  • Effectively manage process and equipment improvements throuout the product lifecycle.
  • Insure performance against organizational goals for yield and process capability
  • Professionally communicate to various levels of the organization.
  • Comply with all company procedures including HazMat, LOTO, and safety. Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma with 8 years work experience Post-secondary/associates degree and a minimum of 4 years prior related experience OR Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology 4 years work experience OR Graduate degree with 2 years work experience. Military experience can be substituted for work experience as well.
    • Need at least 2 years of direct electrical, electrical troubleshooting, or electro-mechanical experience
    • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in manufacturing environment with high complexity and low volume
    • Able to obtain a security clearance which requires US Citizenship Preferred Additional Skills:
      • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with electro-mechanical systems and drawing packages (AutoCAD,Solidworks)
      • Prior experience with using fastener torquing, staking, potting, laser welding, CNC machining, and assembly troubleshooting
      • Prior experience working in a highly regulated environment where required to interface across various functions
      • Proven ability working independently while prioritizing, multi-tasking, and adapting to sudden changes in plans
      • Prior experience utilizing lean manufacturing principles desired, gage R&R, DFMEA, PFMEA
      • Experience with Microsoft Office Suites
      • Experience with MATLAB is a plus
      • Statistical Analysis/Data Mining experience
