Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the sameDirects and coordinates with machine tool manufacturers to determine appropriate equipment and specificationsInterfaces with Quality, Logistics, Maintenance, Product Engineering personnel to assure timely production supportDevelopment of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipmentDevelop and maintain standardized operating instructionsConduct time studies for manufacturing processesDirect and coordinate equipment modification and installationConsult with Product Engineering to determine optimum tooling and processesPlan and implement workplace layouts to optimize process flow and efficiencyData driven problem solving approach including a root cause analysis skill levelEnsures compliance and safety of all activities within the organization standards and policiesPerforms all other duties and responsibilities as assignedYour profileQualifications & Experience:5 years of experienceAutomated assembly process experienceSolid understanding of Lean Principles (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, SMED)Ability to comprehend drawings and GD&T along with some awareness of CAD softwareExperience with coordination and presentation of technical data and information to key component suppliers & customersAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one & small group situations to Customers, clients, & othersProven ability to read and interpret customer specifications and industry standards.Self-starter and able to work without day-to-day directionExpert knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Strong project management skills with proven ability to plan, monitor, and control a project from start to finish ensuring everyone meets their deadlinesStrong Business AcumenSolid Project Management skills and experienceStrong interpersonal and teamwork skills; yet, able to perceive needs and work independentlyStrong analytical ability to analyze and solve problemsHighly organized with ability to work independently as well as part of a teamExhibits integrity through fair and ethical behaviors in all activities; maintains accountability for performanceStrong attention to detail with well-developed organizational and communication skillsProven experience developing work processes to improve outcomes for the team/customersEducation:Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.ContactPleaseApplyOnlineYour benefitsBeyond the competitive benefits and compensation packages, Bilstein of America proudly offers a rich history, steeped in innovation and a lasting commitment to our customers, employees and communities.
