Technician – JLL What this job involves: JLL is seeking a skilled
Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team in delivering
exceptional building operations for our Warehouse/Distribution
Center/Office portfolio. This critical role ensures optimal
building performance and occupant satisfaction through proactive
maintenance, responsive repairs, and technical problem-solving. As
a key member of our operations team, you'll maintain building
systems, address tenant needs, and contribute to creating safe,
functional work environments that support our clients' business
success. This position offers the opportunity to work with diverse
building systems while developing your technical expertise in a
dynamic commercial real estate environment. What your day-to-day
will look like: Diagnose and resolve general maintenance issues
across building systems, responding to work orders and conducting
routine repairs to maintain operational continuity. Maintain and
service lighting systems including bulb replacement, ballast
repair, and troubleshooting electrical components. Collaborate with
the maintenance team on HVAC/refrigeration system maintenance and
repairs, monitoring system performance and addressing comfort
issues. Perform minor plumbing repairs including fixture
maintenance, leak repairs, and drain clearing to prevent service
disruptions. Complete specialized tasks including painting,
locksmith services, tenant service requests, and
furniture/equipment moves as business needs require. Conduct
scheduled facility inspections and due diligence assessments,
documenting conditions that impact client operations and
recommending corrective actions. Respond to emergency situations
24/7, ensuring rapid resolution of urgent issues while maintaining
safety protocols and proper housekeeping standards. Required
Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in
commercial building maintenance including general repair, basic
plumbing, and basic electrical systems. Proficiency with
computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or demonstrated
ability to quickly learn platforms such as Corrigo. Physical
capability to lift minimum 50 pounds, safely operate extension
ladders up to 28 feet, and perform work requiring mechanical and
electrical aptitude. Strong written and verbal communication skills
in English, with ability to document work accurately and interact
professionally with clients and team members. Proven
problem-solving abilities with demonstrated capacity to develop
creative, cost-effective solutions for building maintenance
challenges. Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of HVAC and
refrigeration system operation, maintenance, and basic
troubleshooting techniques. Experience with building automation
systems (BAS) or energy management platforms. Familiarity with
commercial building codes, safety regulations, and industry best
practices for facility maintenance. Previous experience in
warehouse, distribution center, or mixed-use commercial property
environments. Trade certifications or technical training in
electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or related building systems
disciplines. Location: Onsite Work Shift: Monday through Thursday,
5:00 PM to 3:30 AM (10% shift differential included). Flexibility
for overtime and off-hours response as operational needs require.
