Job Description Job Description Elford is hiring a Senior Estimator to lead pursuit efforts across Healthcare, K-12, Commercial, Industrial, and Specialty markets. This is a high-impact role for someone who understands how to build accurate, competitive estimates — and influence how we win work. What You’ll Own • Lead estimating from early conceptual budgeting through final submission • Develop detailed cost models, quantity takeoffs, and pricing strategies • Build and manage bidder lists, subcontractor outreach, and bid reviews • Present estimates, VE options, and system alternatives with confidence • Mentor Estimators and Assistant Estimators • Partner closely with Operations to ensure estimates reflect real-world means, methods, and productivity • Track market conditions, subcontractor capacity, and pricing trends • Continuously strengthen cost databases and estimating tools What You Bring • 7–10 years in construction estimating • Experience with negotiated, GMP, and hard-bid projects • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, productivity, and schedule impacts • Confidence leading bid efforts and influencing pursuit strategy • Experience with digital takeoff and estimating platforms Why Elford At Elford, estimators are strategic partners — not just number builders.
